My Biohacking Journey: From Curiosity to Commitment
Over the past few years, I’ve been gradually exploring the world of biohacking. What started as simple curiosity has grown into something much deeper. I’ve spent time researching, listening to experts, and attending events—like biohacking meetups here in Amsterdam, the Health Optimisation Summit in the UK (2023), and the Biohacker Summit in Amsterdam (2022). Each experience gave me new insights and tools to try.
One quote that’s really stuck with me comes from Jim Kwik:
“Knowledge alone is not power. Knowledge plus action is power.”
And honestly? That hits home.
Even though I’ve gathered a lot of useful information, I haven’t always followed through. I’ve tested a few tips here and there—things that definitely helped improve my sleep, mood, and how I feel in my body. But I know that if I want real, lasting change, I need to be more consistent. Short-term experiments aren’t enough—I need to commit and integrate these practices into my everyday life.
Right now, I’m 35 years old, a proud mom to a beautiful 8-month-old daughter, and I weigh 69.7 kg (as of April 15, 2025). My ideal weight is somewhere between 58 and 60 kg. During my pregnancy, I reached 82 kg, so I’ve come a long way—but I’m not quite there yet.
I’ll be honest, my relationship with food has always been a bit complicated. I’m a foodie at heart. I love cooking, discovering new restaurants, and these days—with a baby and all the chaos that comes with it—I sometimes find myself justifying sweet treats a little too easily.
But here’s my hope: that I can finally start applying what I’ve learned in a more meaningful way. I want to share this journey as it unfolds—not just the progress, but the process. Maybe it’ll help me stay accountable. Maybe it’ll help someone else who’s on a similar path.
Either way, this is where I’m at. And I’m ready to take the next step.
Please stick around and let’s get better one step at a time.
With Love,
Kate
